Rishi Kapoor a shinning star of B-town family left for his heavenly abode yesterday. A name to swell with pride over, he gave a decade to the entertainment industry.
His debut in film industry was with the movie ‘Mera Naam Joker’, by Raj Kapoor (his father) in 1970, which landed him with the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for debut role. As an adult, his first film was opposite the beautiful actress Dimple Kapadia, ‘Bobby’, which landed him with yet another prestigious award the ‘Filmfare’ award for best Actor. Since then their was no looking back. Lately the ‘romantic hero’ was not keeping well in a long run. In February, the actor was admitted due to his health issues, diagnosed as ‘infection’, followed with on April 2nd again with viral fever. He was also diagnosed with cancer in 2008. He was admitted yesterday with complaints of breathing problem, and finally passed away.
His close family members intimate friends rushed to the hospital on receiving the news. A statement from the Kapoor family said that “the actor remained jovial and kept doctors entertained till the end”. As reported by NDTV.
The President of India tweeted “ Rishi Kapoor’s untimely demise is shocking. An evergreen personality with an always smiling face, he was so full of life that it’s difficult to believe that he is no more. A huge loss for the Entertainment industry. Let us pray for his soul. Condolence to his family and friends”. Followed with the Prime Minister who says “Multi faceted, endearing and lively… this talent. I will always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India’s progress. Anguished by his demise. Condolence to his family and fans. Om Shanti”.
After a gem of a Actor ‘ Irrfan Khan’ the film industry and ‘The Nation’ lost another very talented and precious Gem. He will be recommended forever and always. May his soul rest in peace.
